#24 - Seekers & Eihort

Seekers

Seekers are agents of the Adumbrali. They appear as unusually perfect humans.

In the RPG...

Seekers have the ability to hypnotise people, which sends the victim's mind to the Adumbrali's dimension. Aside from that, they are simply good-looking humans, albeit slightly more intelligent and willed.

In a video game...

Because they appear as regular humans, Seekers could easily work in a game. They would be of no use, however, unless the Adumbrali were also included.

In a film...

As above, a film featuring Seekers would have to ultimately feature Adumbrali—a package deal. Being human, the Seekers themselves might not come across as much of a threat, so it would all hinge on how scary the Adumbrali were portrayed.

Eihort

Eihort is described as a pale oval, covered in eyes, with myriad fleshy legs. It lives in a labyrinth of caves below the Severn Valley in England.

In the RPG...

Eihort takes only minimum damage from all physical weapons. He can also regenerate 3 hit-points per round, so for all intents and purposes, is pretty much unkillable. Eihort also has a few tricks up his sleeve. The first being his bite having a poison that requires an Extreme CON roll to counter, else the investigator is paralysed for up to 6 hours. The second is that if Eihort corners someone, that person will be offered a bargain. If they refuse it, Eihort will kill them straight out, but if they accept, will be implanted with Eihort's brood, which will—in anywhere up to 8 years—violently burst out, killing them anyway.

In a video game...

Because of how difficult he is to kill, I can't see Eihort working as an enemy in a video game. His brood on the other hand...

In a film...

Eihort and his brood would make for some horrific movie monsters. I can envisage a character, cornered against a dank rock wall, Eihort's eye-covered bulk only inches from their face, offering his bargain. Tell me that wouldn't be scary.
